Some things have been happening to me lately, so I thought it would be nice to let you guys know what's going on.

Yesterday, at about 3:30 am my grandfather passed away at age 84. He had been suffering from cancer for ages, but a few years ago he fractured his hip and after that he had been getting increasingly worse. The situation reached its peak a month ago or so, and in his last moments he was asleep for almost the whole time and barely responded to anything.
It's almost a miracle that he lived as long as he did, and he lived a good life, so there's really nothing to complain about.

He's still important to me, even though we never were really close. It was his time to go and his suffering is now gone, so I'm not very sad, but it feels strange to lose a person who's been around for your whole life.

I'd love to reflect on this in peace and focus on my personal projects, but I've got school work to do and I'm not going to let it go aside. Fortunately I've only got three essays, three actual school days and two exams left and then I'll have time to do whatever the hell I want. Summer vacation starts really soon, and you bet I'm going to make the most of it.
